Over the last several years, the Kardashian family has dominated reality TV.  Thanks to their show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the family has become an open book, and viewers have been given the inside scoop into their interesting – and sometimes annoying – lives.  However, despite how many people truly feel about the Kardashians, keeping up with them has become a guilty pleasure.  But even with their relatively public lifestyle, the Kardashians, like everyone else, has had a few issues that they’ve tried to keep out of the public eye.  Unfortunately for them, their level of fame makes it impossible for any secret to stay a secret for long.  Here are 10 shocking secrets the Kardashians are hiding from us.

The Kardashians sued their step mother

Ellen Kardashian, one of the wives of the Kardashians’ late father, Robert, messed with the wrong bunch when she decided to publish some of Robert’s journals after his death. In the entries that were supposedly written by Robert, he made some pretty bold claims about Kris Jenner, one of which said that she used to get so drunk that she had to sleep on the floor. Although the Kardashian children never really liked their step mother things really came to a head once legal action was taken.

Scott Disick’s father is a criminal 

Kourtney Kardashian’s longtime boyfriend and baby daddy comes from a very successful family.  But things aren’t always what they seem.  Scott’s father, Jeffrey, was once arrested for stealing thousands of dollars from a bank in Long Island.  Fortunately for Papa Disick, he got off lightly without having to serve any jail time.

Kris Jenner is paying Rob Kardashian to keep his mouth shut

Not too long ago, rumors began circulating that Rob Kardashian was on the brink of revealing all of his family’s secrets.  Anyone who has been following the Kardashian family knows that this isn’t really a huge surprise seeing as how Rob is widely considered to be the black sheep of the family.  Well, according to sources, Kris Jenner refuses to let her son spill the beans – and has reportedly been paying him not to say anything.  If this is true, Rob has definitely found himself a sweet little deal.

Kourtney Kardashian contested her father’s will

When Robert Kardashian passed away in 2003, there was already some tension between his children and his wife. Well, when it was time to read the will, Kourtney Karadshian had a few objections.  Apparently, she felt that the handwriting on her father’s will had been forged.  According to Robert Kardashian’s final wife, Ellen, “According to the calls I received from the attorney, Kourtney felt like she wanted to have her father’s handwriting analyzed to make sure that he actually had written those things down that he left me. And she did. Kourtney actually had his handwriting analyzed. But every time she called the attorney about something, he would call me to let me know. It was never-ending. There were many things, many things about the will.”

Kris Jenner cheated on Bruce

In 2013, rumors began circulating that Kris Jenner had cheated on Bruce. There are several stories regarding her infidelity and some suggested that Kris cheated years ago when the couple first got together, and others suggested that she cheated towards the end of their marriage.  One thing is for sure; however, the rumors that she did cheat at some point have been very consistent.

Kim Kardashian wanted to live near her mother after North’s birth, but Kanye West had other plans

When Kim Kardashian was pregnant with her daughter, she stayed with her mother to be around her family and also be available to film for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kris hoped that her daughter would stick around so that the family could spend more time with the new baby, but Kanye West wasn’t having that.  After their child was born, Kanye and Kim decided to purchase a house away from Kris and the family so that they could get some privacy.  

The Kardashian sisters were involved in a sweatshop scandal

In 2011, the Kardashian sisters found themselves receiving some bad press after allegations that some of their products were made in sweatshops in China.  According to a source, “People like the Kardashians are producing their products in China because they will get more profit, since the labor cost is so low compared to the United States and other countries.”

The Kardashians may have snitched on Lamar Odom

A few years ago, Lamar Odom’s substance abuse issue was the talk of all the tabloids.  Then married to Khloe Kardashian, many wondered how things would pan out for the couple.  Well, obviously, Khloe and Lamar didn’t make it.  But Lamar actually thinks that the Kardashians (not Khloe) were the ones who ratted him out.

A lot of the show is scripted

Although most people have already speculated this as with any other reality TV show, but apparently, some of the scenes on KUWTK are scripted. In 2013, several media outlets reported that a meltdown Kim had on screen after her mom and sister TP’d her house was actually scripted.  According to a source, the entire situation was fabricated – although it’s a little unclear that producers would gain out of making up such a moment, when they could easily have found more realistic and exciting ways to get Kim upset.

Khloe may not actually be a Kardashian

Over the last several years, there have been stories going around that Khloe Kardashian may not be a Kardashian after all.  Some people believe that Kris had an affair with NFL superstar, O.J. Simpson and that Khloe is actually hit child.  Although there’s no proof that this is the case, a secret like this could potentially put an irreversible rift in the family.
