Stimulus Checks November 2023: Who Will Be Getting Extra Payments Next Month?
Nine of the 20 states that have confirmed they will send a 4th round of stimulus checks through the Economic Impact Payments program have already initiated their distributions to eligible citizens. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reported that four groups of people are eligible to receive aid.
According to the information, the following individuals are entitled to the full payment:
- Individuals with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of up to $75,000.
- Heads of household reporting an AGI of up to $112,500.
- Married couples filing jointly with an AGI of up to $150,000.
- Parents or guardians who claim children as dependents eligible for the child tax credit.
People with incomes greater than the specified amounts may still be eligible for a partial payment. However, the maximum amount will be reduced by $5 for every $100 that the person's AGI exceeds the maximum AGI.
Stimuli for Specific Groups
Some states also offer stimuli for specific groups, such as workers, teachers, and certain taxpayers.
- Arizona has implemented the Return to Work Program, providing economic incentives to those who enter a new job. However, candidates must retain the job for at least eight weeks to receive payment.
- New York has established the Excluded Workers Fund, which will provide unemployment payments to workers who lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic and do not qualify for other stimulus programs.
- Maryland is offering stimulus checks to anyone who has filed for their 2019 Earned Income Tax Credit.
- Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, and Texas will provide a fourth stimulus check to teachers.

The amount eligible individuals will receive when applying for the stimulus varies from $250 to $3,200, depending on the state and the applicant's situation.
